Paul and Marietta, cousins by blood, only learned about each other’s existence recently. Their families lost contact as violence toward Jews escalated in Germany, and they had assumed the worst.

Myanmar Earthquake Appeal
A devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar at 12:50pm local time, followed by a 6.4-magnitude aftershock minutes later. The earthquake has caused significant damage across Myanmar and neighbouring Thailand. Rescue efforts are underway as people are stuck under the rubble following the collapse of buildings and infrastructure. The affected area is home to approximately 6.1 million people.
