In his 19 years leading World Jewish Relief, Paul has grown the organization and its impact exponentially. Now working in 21 countries and supporting more than 140,000 people in the last year alone, World Jewish Relief, under Paul’s leadership, is leading humanitarian efforts on behalf of the Jewish community.

Devastating wildfires in LA

Wildfires have been devastating large parts of Los Angeles since January 7, destroying homes, lives, and livelihoods. Our hearts go out to the Jewish community who have lost personal and communal property, alongside all those who are affected beyond the community. We are contributing to the Wildfires Crisis Relief of the Jewish Federation Los Angeles (JFEDLA), to support those who have been displaced, alongside day camps for children while schools are closed.

Morocco Earthquake: A forgotten crisis?

It's been almost two years since the devastating 6.9 magnitude earthquake which struck Morocco, killing almost 3,000 people. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have reached 13,184 people, providing life-saving supplies and shelter in the first days of the disaster. We’re now working alongside our local partner, MBLA, to help people develop sustainable livelihoods. Hear insights from the ground after a recent visit by one of the World Jewish Relief team.

Employment and Livelihoods

Rabbi Dina Brawer visits the Jewish community in Moldova, witnessing the transformative impact that World Jewish Relief’s Employment and Livelihoods programs have on individuals and on the Jewish community at large. While providing job-specific skills training and mentorship so that individuals are empowered to grow their economic opportunities, the program not only fosters a sense of Jewish community for isolated individuals, but also facilitates the development of infrastructure which is key to Jewish education, socializing and bonding.
