Josh’s Jam Shop sells the perfect festive gift for World Jewish Relief

We are incredibly proud of one of our young supporters, Josh Shrubsole, who has set up a jam shop to raise funds for World Jewish Relief.

Ten year old Josh built a website, wrote the words, and took and edited the pictures for his online jam shop which sells three types of jam – all lovingly homemade by his mum!

Josh says “Lots of people like our jam because it’s seasonal fruit, and a lovely Rosh Hashanah gift. We even know a few people who put the apple jam on their Yom Tov table.”

He says he chose to raise money for World Jewish Relief because they help people all over the world, whether they are Jewish or not, “My great grandparents came from Moldova in Romania and my mum was going on a fundraising trip with World Jewish Relief, there and had raised quite a lot of money, but then found out she had a baby in her tummy (me!) and couldn’t go.”

FINCHLEY VICTORIAN SPICED APPLE JAM – made with apples from the back garden with organic spices expertly sourced by mum. Apples are one of the symbolic foods of Rosh Hashanah.

FINCHLEY PEAR, GINGER AND CHILLI JAM – homegrown pears from a friends’ garden, spicy chilli and ginger.

FIG AND VANILLA JAM – figs are in season and are also one of the symbolic foods of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year).
